Prioritize,
plan, and personalize your treatment using the TARGET.
The TARGET is a comprehensive framework
for collecting and sorting assessment data. It will
assist the therapist to prioritize areas that need addressing
in treatment and plan the sequence of treatment. The
TARGET can help families and others see the relationships
between original concerns and underlying causes. Goals
can then be generated together and progress tracked together.
This
course will first address the TARGET specifics, what
is it and how does it work? Then, using a case study
format, small work groups will develop clinical reasoning
to organize intake and assessment data, plan a course of
treatment, and modify treatment as it progresses. Many
video clips will be used to generate and support discussion.
Objectives: participants
will be able to
1.
Describe the TARGET relative to its purpose and use
2.
Plot assessment, intake and treatment observation data
3.
Prioritize and generate treatment goals
4.
Plan a course of treatment
5. Use
the TARGET to follow and document progress
