Would
you like a course brought to your facility??
PDP courses are known for their clinical
relevance and experienced instructors. In response to the
demand for our many fine courses, we are implementing an
Outreach Options Program that will make it possible for
more practitioners to access the wealth of information
and clinical skill development offered in our unique PDP
workshops. Now there are a variety of ways that agencies,
clinics, hospitals and other groups can partner with PDP,
one of the most enduring companies offering continuing
education in the pediatric arena.
If you have a large staff of OTs, PTs, SLPs and other professionals
that could use some additional training on a limited budget,
you might consider one of the following options:
1.
Course Sponsor
This option allows you (your
agency) to run the course. You'll be in charge of who
attends, registrations, promotions,
etc.
Professional Development Programs will:
• Handle all speaker arrangements and payments
i.e. travel, lodging, etc.
• Provide content information for promotional
materials
Options from PDP include:
• AOTA
and ASHA CEUs
• Provide on-site PDP staff
• Bring PDP Products for display and sale. (A proven
attraction!)
All
other arrangements are up to you and may include:
• Local transportation and meals for speakers
• Meeting space with audio/visual equipment
• Provide audio/visual equipment i.e. screen, sound system
• Promote and handle pre-registration for the course
• Appropriate handouts (master copies provided
by PDP) and lab materials
• Course evaluations and Certificates of Completion,
CEU accreditation
• Any other on-site arrangements
Since
costs vary from one workshop to another, please submit
a sponsor request form. After
receiving a completed request form PDP will contact you
to discuss further details.
2. Course Host
We offer this option
to facilities who will agree to:
• Provide meeting space with parking availability
• Provide audio/visual equipment i.e. screen, overhead,
VCR, DVD, sound
• Assist in arranging for food and refreshments
• Provide on-site assistance for PDP staff with set-up,
registration, and course administration
• Provide a list of lodging and eating establishments convenient
to the course site
Professional
Development Programs will
• Provide respected speakers and cover all their fees
and related expenses
• Provide a quality course
• Place advertisements for this course in related state
and national publications
• Develop, print, and mail all brochures for the course
citing your facility
(if you wish)
• Handle pre-registrations and send confirmation packets
• Supply handouts and lab materials
• Provide Certificates of Completion to all participants
• Provide AOTA and ASHA approved CEUs (when appropriate)
3. Local Assistant
Sometimes
we simply need a pair of eyes and ears in a course location
For the benefit of a complimentary course registration, we
need someone to:
• Assist PDP in selecting course dates and finding
a course site i.e., hotel, school, hospital, etc.
• Help with promoting the course, "spreading the word"
• Assist the on-site PDP staff with registration, set-up
and take-down as needed
• One assistant per course please!
4. Speakers Bureau
PDP receives frequent requests for our
speakers to provide inservices at various facilities around
the country. For an agreed upon fee, PDP will provide not
only the speaker, but will handle all travel arrangments,
contracts, and honoraria. You will be responsible for local
transportation, meals, etc.
• Please
note: Advertised PDP courses are not available for individual
inservices or agencies through the Speakers
Bureau. For this option please see above.
• PDP can arrange for speakers to offer courses and lectures
on a wide variety of topics. Let us know your needs and
we will find a match for you!
