Contact Hours
This practicum session provides lab experiences
for participants who have attended session C. The principles
discussed during that session will be demonstrated and
practiced, using therapy balls, partners and dolls to
gain skill with ball treatment strategies. Comfortable
clothing is encouraged and a 24” rag doll is required.
Practice techniques will include weightshifting, balance
and equilibrium, mobility, elongation, activity, control
and sequencing.

Objectives: Participants
will be able to
1. Demonstrate on partners techniques to elicit weight
shifting with control on the ball.
2. Demonstrate two techniques each for mobility, elongation,
activity and control using the ball.
3. Demonstrate transitions for sequencing therapy activities
on the ball.
4. Using the ball, demonstrate two techniques for moving
a person into space to elicit dynamic co-activation in
the core and proximal structures.
